As I was in the presence of the Lord this morning

As I was praying this morning, I was sharing with Him my deep sadness for the events going on in our Nation today! In my deepest pain, I expressed how there is so much hatred and those among us that seek to divide and control us. Between local judges, politicians, State Governors and on and on that are acting as if they are Kings with what we can or cannot do based on their whims or under their political leadership. Many have discarded the law that would restricted their actions and just took control of ours. These decisions they have made and continue to make, for the first time in my lifetime we have government infringing on our rights as declared by the State Constitution, US Constitution and Bill of Rights as handed down generations ago from our incredible Founding Fathers. And many- many are turning a blind eye and not holding these people accountable! Why is that?

How did we get here? I struggled with comprehending that simple question. How did we get here? What happened to us as a people and Nation? Today, if you look around so many are listening blindly to the reporters on the locals or national news rather than seeking truth which we all know is incredibly difficult to find these days. The local media and many national outlets appear to be in the fear business rather than reporting news. No longer are they fact checking before reporting much anymore. It used to be the standard that they had to have multiple sources to corroborate any news story before they released it to the world. Not today! In fact, these are the same people that recently exposed (actually proud of the tactics they are using) the entire manipulation of the media today! Or so they think! You see, as they explained, it all starts with stating a falsehood, then you have a media source report it as truth and the narrative has been set – WOW! They call this tactic- “the wrap up smear” You see, It becomes the duty of the victim to deny the falsehood rather than the reporter stating facts. I couldn’t believe it when I witnessed this woman spew with pride this utter diabolical scheme. But sadly, that is exactly what evil will do! There are no limits when good people choose to turn a blind eye to truth and instead seek or repeat evil. Why is no one standing up to this unjust attack on truth?

I was forever changed in that moment! Really- one just has to state a lie loud enough, many times over all types of media to become what we believe is truth when in fact it is exactly the opposite. I guess it can clarify for me than how we did get here! One lie begets another and then before you know it everything you once believed is gone! That may very well be the goal of some who desire personal gain to control others and have influence what we as individuals do, say or even think! Wow! That is an incredible statement and packs a lot of power in the hands of others.

However, they may have underestimated us as a Nation and as a people. You see our entire freedom and liberty is not based on others as to what they say or think or even how they can manipulate our thoughts or actions. The fact is maybe some of us will be influenced enough and follow along blindly. But the rest of us, we know how to discern truth! And isn’t from reporters, media, politicians, sports figures or Hollywood. In fact, the truth is available to everyone of us in this country where freedom still exists and we are free to think, discern and garner truth if we so desire.

The truth is these people who seek to pervert our thoughts or sense of truth are actually finally showing us who they truly are and coming out of the covers. You see there has been a period of many years where we have been lied to. But slowly, drip by drip trying to get us to believe that we need or want something so much different than what millions die for as they try to enter our country illegally. Why would anyone seek to travel far and wide under perilous conditions if not seeking a better way of life?

Have we not had enough heartache and destruction? Destruction of people’s lives, belongings and the very fabric of our society? Have we decayed beyond recognition? That is what some want but I would like to challenge that premise. There is another way.

It all starts with one word- LOVE. God is Love, God Loves each of us and that means us ALL! God created all things! The entire Universe is His creation along with us. He made is in His Image- the Image of God! With God all things are possible and nothing is difficult for Him.

The truth is our country was founded on a Judeo-Christian foundation. The principle being the Holy Bible as a guide to build and preserve a free Nation. Our Founding Fathers left fame and fortune when they left Britain to establish a God fearing & God loving Nation known as America! The framers risked it all and worked tirelessly many years (on our US Constitution & Bill of Rights) for the ability of generations to come to partake in freedom. But they knew freedom truly only comes from knowing God our Creator. Abraham Lincoln stated “Sir, my concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God's side, for God is always right.” You see all truth can be discerned through the Word of God. Once you know Him and can fully realize the gift of grace that only comes from knowing Jesus- can we fully understand freedom.

When do we stop allowing lies to be such a stronghold and seek truth? Truth can be garnered everywhere if you seek it and align what you are trying to discern through the Word of God! God so loves us that he sent Jesus here on earth to live (blemish free) and die a horrendous death for us! You see Jesus took on all of our sin- mine, yours everyone’s so that we can be forgiven and reconciled to God forever! What a gift!!! Nothing we do surprises him or our Father Almighty. The truth is Jesus came to create a new Kingdom- an upside-down Kingdom! Instead of him ruling us with his power and might-he came to show us the total opposite! He came to serve (one another) first with Love. What an amazing concept. He came to demonstrate the love our Father has for us that his Son died for us. But he actually conquered death and is alive now. It is by having the Love of Jesus in your heart do you know true freedom. The entire Gospel Story is simple- we are all sinful people (every one of us by nature) Jesus came to take away the sins of the world and set us free. Now we just have to ask him into our heart, repent of our sins and accept his unfailing grace. There is nothing sweeter than having a relationship with Jesus! It has changed my perspective on absolutely everything that happens in this world. You see this world is very temporary but when we leave this earth our life continues on. It is just a matter of where you will spend eternity. If you repent of your sins & accept the gift of Jesus into your heart not only do you radically change your future here on earth but you change your final destination. That’s powerful truth my friends. I pray that though this world seems engulfed in lies that you would seek truth which is all available in the Holy Bible. Come to read the greatest and best-selling book in the World and let truth rule your heart. The radical love of Christ is intoxicating and beautiful. You see God wants each of us in heaven with him forever! Come, if you do not know Him yet! His arms are wide open for you!

In closing Abraham Lincoln explains it best as to has happened to America.

“We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven. We have been preserved, these many years, in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth and power, as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own, intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us.”—Abraham Lincoln

May God forgive us, may be have a repentant heart and seek God our Father and set His Holy Name on high over this great land so we can become that shining city on a hill once again! God Bless you & your family. May God Bless the United States of America!
